What I Look Forward to in the Morning

This post is sponsored by Bioré but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Coffee, coffee, and you guessed it, more coffee. That’s mainly the answer to the title of this blog post. Most mornings you can find an Instagram story of me with a cup of coffee, but I want to give you a glimpse into the rest of my morning routine that I don’t normally share!

I am all about slow mornings. It’s important to me that I don’t start my day rushing out the door. I wake up early enough to give myself a good amount of time to just rest and wake up slowly, in bed, coffee in hand. By the time I finish my coffee, I barely have enough time to get to work according to schedule, so I definitely don’t have time to shower every morning, which is why it’s really important to have a good face wash.

We all love that fresh feeling in the morning, and this dynamic duo by Bioré gives my skin that glorious feel. Like eating a Peppermint Patty sensation, but for your face. This new line that Bioré has come out with has a unique combo of Blue Agave and Baking Soda. The Balancing Pore Cleanser is perfect for mornings because it gives you that fresh feeling you need before you put on all your makeup for the day.

Let me just say- clogged pores seriously need to chill! The menthol in the detox mask creates an intense pore-tingly sensation. That’s the feeling of dat good, good deep, clean. This detoxifying sensation will leave your pores seriously purified. The natural baking soda deeps clean and blue agave is super soothing and nourishing. One thing I struggle with is having super visible pores so I love that this line really focuses on purifying them suckers.

Since I lay in bed with my coffee for like an hour in the mornings, it’s the perfect time to throw on a face mask if I’m feeling even too lazy and tired for putting my hair up and doing a cleanser. The Whipped Nourishing Detox Mask gives that same fresh feeling from the menthol and you only leave it on for 3 minutes, 5 minutes max! Super easy and simple and the minty feeling will wake you right up. *Note: Not for sensitive skin consumers or those with sensitivities to menthol as it may cause short term flushing of the skin*

Another thing I look forward to in the morning is the fact that I don’t have to be at work until 10 every day. I’m honestly not sure how real adults go at 8 am every morning. I don’t know if I’ll ever be adult enough for that and I lowkey hope I don’t ever have to be. I am a busy body and once my day does start, it doesn’t stop until like midnight when I finally get to bed. That’s why I think mornings are so sacred to me. I know it is the only time I will truly relax and have me time. Being alone with my thoughts each morning allows me to make sure my mind is clear and focused. I look forward to morning because nights can be so hard. Sometimes I can hardly sleep at night for worry about tomorrow (I know, I know, I shouldn’t) and feeling pressure to do everything I want to do RIGHT NOW. Mornings get to be peaceful because I know I have hours ahead to get everything done. I’m so grateful for those peaceful moments.

If you’re someone who is always rushing out the door in the morning, maybeeee you should at least find one small way to feel a bit of peace in the morning. Whether its listening to an encouraging podcast on your commute, doing a face mask, or giving yourself time to drink coffee in bed instead of in a to-go cup, be sure to find something that will set the tone for your day. You’ll be loads more productive and creative if you learn to focus on REST INSTEAD OF HUSTLE. You’ll thank me later.
